Domestic Safety Socket for South African Sockets

Prevents electrical accidents by ensuring that the socket is not live when a plug is not attached. With in lid that closes and locks in place, no fingers can reach the socket terminals.

The power can only be turned on when a plug is inserted into the socket.

• Mechanical interlocking: A core safety feature that ensures that power can only be supplied when a plug is fully and correctly inserted into the socket.

  • Prevents Live connection: The plug switch can not be turned on unless a plug is securely seated in the socket.
  • Plug Retention: Once the switch is turned on, the plug is mechanically locked in place and can't be removed until the switch is first turned off.
• Secure Enclosure: The socket is housed in a protected casing and even contains a padlock latch to prevent unauthorised use.

1. Insertion: Insert a domestic plug into the socket
2. Activation: Rotate the knob to the on position which turns poer on and locks the plugtop in place.
3. Deactivation: To remove the plug, rotate the know to the off position and remove the plug.
